The Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, has made a compelling appeal to President John Mahama to prioritize the completion of the Eastern Corridor road project, which is crucial for enhancing connectivity and economic development within the region.

In his address at President Mahama’s thank you tour on Friday, January 24th, Togbe Afede XIV expressed profound gratitude to the president for the swift implementation of various policies and initiatives that he had promised during his election campaign. He underscored the importance of these initiatives in addressing the needs of the populace and restoring confidence in governmental commitment.

He also expressed his delight in President Mahama’s efforts to restore Ghana’s image on the international stage through strategic travels aimed at re-establishing lost diplomatic ties and enhancing Ghana’s leadership role within African affairs. This sentiment reflects the expectation that such efforts will promote greater collaboration and investment in the country.

Togbe Afede XIV specifically highlighted the need for the President’s commitment to finalizing ongoing infrastructural projects that were initiated under the previous government. He pointed out that the Eastern Corridor Roads, a significant infrastructure endeavour, have encountered delays that are of great concern to the people of the Volta Region.
